V Powered ("we", "us", "our") operates vpowered.tech. We are based in South Africa and provide digital services to clients locally and internationally. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. It is written to meet the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) and, where applicable, the GDPR.

1. Who is responsible for your information
V Powered is a sole proprietorship owned by Tanz Whitlie, trading from South Africa. Tanz Whitlie is the responsible party (POPIA) / data controller (GDPR) for the information described in this policy, and acts as the Information Officer.

2. What we collect
• Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number and the content of any message you send through our contact form, booking form, email or WhatsApp.
• Booking information: the date, time and details of any strategy session you book with us.
• Client project information: business details, brand assets, credentials and other material you share with us during a project.
• Technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and how you reached our site. This is collected automatically through Wix analytics and cookies.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

3. Why we use it
• To respond to your enquiry and provide a quotation.
• To schedule and conduct meetings you have booked.
• To deliver, support and invoice the services you have engaged us for.
• To improve our website and understand which content is useful.
• To send you marketing communications, but only where you have agreed to receive them. You can withdraw that consent at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
We rely on your consent, on the performance of a contract with you, or on our legitimate business interests, depending on the purpose above.

 

4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate, such as our website and hosting platform (Wix), email and analytics providers; with professional advisors where necessary; and with authorities where the law requires it. Some providers process information outside South Africa, and we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable protection.

5. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for up to 24 months. Client records are kept for as long as the relationship continues and for at least five years afterwards, as required by South African tax and company legislation. After that, information is deleted or anonymised.

 

6. How we protect it
We use encrypted connections (SSL), access controls and reputable service providers. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, and will notify you and the Information Regulator if a breach affects you.

 

7. Your rights
You may ask us to confirm what information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. Write to info@vpowered.tech and we will respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa (enquiries@inforegulator.org.za), or to your local supervisory authority if you are in the EU or UK.

 

8. Cookies
Our website uses cookies that are necessary for it to work, plus analytics cookies that tell us how visitors use the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may then not work properly.

Our site links to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to read their policies.

 

10. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be notified on this page.
